Laura Petka
University Park, Dallas, TXPrior to becoming a well-regarded artist, Laura Petka spent six years as a gallery curator. Her fluency with space and scale is still present in every canvas she creates.
Her signature is immediately recognizable: raised, swirling forms built up in heavy-body acrylic and arranged across the canvas in grids. Each piece is layered until the surface has nearly architechural dimension. Laura's color literacy informed by her gallery curator eye makes her art a favorite for interiors desginers and clients.
She works out of her home studio in University Park and takes on a limited number of commissions each year.
